TOURNAMENT RULES

The winning team from the Shoot-Out will be the overall tournament winner.  The format will be Net Best Ball for all five matches and the team that wins the most points in each flight will be the Flight Winner.  The Flight Winners and the 2nd Place team from each flight (including ties) will qualify for The Shootout.

 

The following format details how the tournament will be played.

FRIDAY:  8:30AM SHOTGUN

Flights 1-5 play the BACK nine and Flights 6-10 play the FRONT nine.  The format is Net Best Ball. Each player will receive 90% of their handicap, and all matches will be handicapped OFF THE LOW PLAYER IN THE GROUP. 

 

 

FRIDAY:  11:30PM SHOTGUN

Flight 1-5 play the FRONT nine and Flights 6-10 play the BACK nine. The format is Net Best Ball. Each player will receive 90% of their handicap, and all matches will be handicapped OFF THE LOW PLAYER IN THE GROUP.

 

 

FRIDAY:  2:30PM SHOTGUN

Flights 1-5 play the BACK nine and Flights 6-10 play the FRONT nine. The format is Net Best Ball.  Each player will receive 90% of their handicap, and all matches will be handicapped OFF THE LOW PLAYER IN THE GROUP.

 

 

SATURDAY:  8:30AM SHOTGUN

Flights 1-5 play the FRONT nine and Flights 6-10 play the BACK nine. The format is Net Best Ball. Each player will receive 90% of their handicap, and all matches will be handicapped OFF THE LOW PLAYER IN THE GROUP.

 

 

SATURDAY:   11:30AM SHOTGUN

Flights 1-5 play the BACK nine and Flights 6-10 play the FRONT nine.  The format is Net Best Ball. Each player will receive 90% of their handicap, and all matches will be handicapped OFF THE LOW PLAYER IN THE GROUP.

 THE SHOOTOUT

 

The Shootout will determine the Overall Winner of the Invitational, and will be played in the True Alternate Shot format. The qualifiers for the Shootout will include the 1st & 2nd Place teams from each Flight, plus ties. The handicaps will be figured by taking 40% of the combined handicap for both players.

#18 - Remaining 3 teams

THERE IS NO MINIMUM POINT TOTAL FOR A MATCH

PARI-MUTUEL BETTING

 

Pari-Mutuel betting will be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the shootout. It will also be available for Win-Place-Show for total match points for the First 3 Rounds (previously "Day 1") of tournament play & the Second 2 Rounds (previously "Day 2") of tournament play, no matter when those matches are played (due to our Staggered Start schedule, some matches will be played on Thursday, July 17). Betting will be available ONLINE the week before the event, as well as Thursday & Friday. The committee has determined a method for breaking any ties.

LINE BETTING

 

Line Betting will be available again this year but will be based on total match points, NOT overall net score. The committee has determined a method for breaking any ties.

OPTIONAL TEAM CASH POOL

 

There will be an optional $200 buy-in for a cash prize pool for Flight Winners, Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and Chipping & Putting Contest Winners Thursday night. Only those teams that buy in will be eligible for the cash prizes. The prizes for any ineligible winners will go back into the pool. â€‹

HANDICAPS

 

The individual handicaps are limited to 36 and will be verified by the Handicap Committee.  The tournament will be played by using 90% of the individual’s handicap. The handicaps may be adjusted before or during the tournament. 

​

Handicapping for the Shootout is 40% of the combined team handicap

-The two handicaps for each team will be added together and then multiplied by 0.4.

​

TALL GRASS AREAS

 

The Tall Grass Areas on the course will be played as a RED PENALTY AREA. The ball may be played out of the area with NO penalty. Balls that are LOST in the tall grass – players should drop a ball where it entered the tall grass with a ONE stroke penalty.
